Read your texts from your own software (SMS API)
The SMS API lets your own software read the texts your numbers receive: ask with a key, or have each text pushed to your server the moment it lands. The API is free; a received text costs what it always costs. The full reference is on the SMS API page.
Make a key
- 1Account → Services → SMS API
Open SMS API. You need a number that receives texts and a verified email.
- 2Name it, and narrow it if you can
Tick the numbers it may read, and name the senders — e.g. Booking.com or 22000. Empty means every number and every sender.
- 3Copy the key
It starts with mts_ and is shown once. We keep only a fingerprint of it; a lost key is revoked and replaced.
Ask for new texts
Send the key in the X-Api-Key header to GET https://miragetel.com/api/v1/sms/messages. Texts come oldest first; keep nextAfter from each answer and send it back as after, and you read every text once.
Waiting for a sign-in code: note the time before you ask for the code, then ask every few seconds with after= that time and from= the sender. Up to 120 requests a minute per key.
Or be told
Add a webhook with your https address. Each text arrives as a POST, signed in X-MirageTel-Signature (HMAC-SHA256 of the timestamp and the body, with the secret shown when you add it). Answer with any 2xx; otherwise we try again for 24 hours. Send test posts a signed test event.
A key reads the texts your numbers received — nothing else. It cannot send, buy, move money or see another account. Revoke it in one click; it stops at once.
