Most Samsung Galaxy phones from the S20 on, and Google Pixel 3 and newer, take an eSIM. The menus differ a little — pick your phone.

Before you start

Open your eSIM on another screen — a computer or a tablet: Account → eSIMs → Show QR / Install. The phone scans the QR code from there.

Install it

  2. 2
Add eSIM → Scan QR code from service provider

Scan the QR from your MirageTEL account on another screen, or type the code shown under it.

  3. 3
SIM manager → Mobile data → the new line

Leave calls and texts on your usual SIM.

  4. 4
Connections → Mobile networks → Data roaming → on

Google Pixel

Calls and texts can stay on your usual SIM.

  4. 4
Open the new SIM → Roaming → on

Do and don’t

Do

  • Install on Wi-Fi before you leave.
  • Give the line a name, like “Travel”.

Don’t

  • Don’t delete the eSIM profile — it usually can’t be downloaded twice.
  • Don’t turn off your usual SIM if you want its calls.
