Phone number questions
Who is the registered holder of a number?
Your customer, the person or company that uses it — that is what the operators and regulators ask for. You send their details through the API; we file them and keep them as the law requires.
How long does registration take?
It depends on the country’s operator. The number is reserved while they review it, and a webhook tells you when it is approved or refused, with the reason.
What happens if registration is refused?
You can correct and resend it where the operator allows, or the charge for that number returns to your balance.
Where do calls to the numbers go?
To the SIP trunk you choose for each number.
Can the numbers receive texts?
In 4 countries the numbers receive texts, which you read by API or signed webhook. In the others they take calls only.
