Understand eSIM validity, activation and top-up

Separate purchase time from activation rules, plan expiry and the ability to add more data.

Four different moments

Purchase, provisioning, installation and activation are not always the same event. The exact plan states the behavior that MirageTEL has received for it. A plan can require an activation date, or activation can depend on installation or first network use.

Validity and remaining data

Validity describes the service window. Unused data normally does not survive expiry. Usage is shown in the portal only when the selected plan and provider report a usable reading; unavailable data is displayed as unknown, never as zero.

Top-up is a capability

Some plans can add data to the same eSIM and others cannot. MirageTEL shows top-up only when the plan supports it. The one-time provider profile issuance cost is tied to creation of a new profile, not to a top-up on an existing profile.
