How much travel data do you actually need?

Estimate a useful data target from trip length and habits without treating an estimate as a guarantee.

Start with daily behavior

Maps and messages use less data than video calls, streaming or a laptop hotspot. A planning estimate should therefore begin with the activities you expect, then multiply a disclosed daily target by the number of days and devices.

Mirage Journey estimates

Mirage Journey uses four comparison profiles: light at 150 MB per day, everyday at 350 MB, heavy at 800 MB and hotspot at 1.5 GB. It shows the multiplication used. These figures are comparison targets, not guarantees of what a person will consume.

Leave room for change

Software updates, automatic photo uploads and video quality can increase consumption. Disable unwanted background traffic and open the exact plan details before purchase. An unlimited label can still carry fair-use or speed rules supplied with the plan.
